In order for your tegu to live happily ever after...

Always ensure that there is a sphagnum moss/coco husk mixture in your tegus hide box (see "Where Will My Tegu Live?" tab for more details) and that it stays damp. To do this, you will need to take the moss, soak it in water, remove it, squeeze it until water is no longer dripping from it, and then return it into the hide box.
Sometimes, if the humidity is not high enough, your tegu will soak itself in his water bowl; this is normal. Regardless, at least once or twice a month you should soak your tegu in a bathtub with warm water to be fully sure they will be able to have a proper shed.
